Langtang Valley
Nepal

Himalayas · 7 days · 3,400m above sea level

May 16th - 22nd     |     From $1350AUD

Nepal · May 2026

Not Everest base camp.
Better than that.

Langtang isn't the one on every travel influencer's feed. It's quieter, wilder, and honestly more beautiful — a high-altitude valley that takes you through rhododendron forests, Tamang villages, and mountain views that make the 4am wake-ups feel completely worth it.

"Seven days. Six people. The Himalayas. Our first ever Malang trip — and we're going whether it fills or not."

Kathmandu nights, altitude passes, local homestays, and at least one moment where you stop walking and just stand there because you can't believe you're actually here. No hiking experience required. Just show up.

Book The Damn Trip.

After my first multi-day trek over two years ago, my entire style of travel pivoted from big cities to mountains. And the itch to experience as many sunrise summits as possible is all consuming. So the Himalayas is an obvious pick. Bonus, the kindest Nepali people and culture and epic trails. And no, we're not doing Everest Base Camp, anyone can take you there. Instead we're heading to the Langtang Valley, dubbed the "hidden gem" near Kathmandu. We're more keen on off-the-beaten-path views, or as much off the path we can go with permits, but still.

Why we picked Langtang region
